In the late evening of November 16th, 2025, Paul Richard Sharpe passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 87. Paul was a kind, generous, faithful, loving, and loyal husband, father, and grandfather. His mission in life was to help others.
Paul was an avid railfan and lifetime member at the Mad River & Nickel Plate Railroad Museum. He served as Curator from 1978 to 1986 and also served as a Board Trustee from 1984 to 1986. After his retirement, he devoted his free time to working on the Buckeye Central Railroad in Logan, Ohio, and the Byesville Scenic Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer.
His family has asked that donations be made in his honor at the Museum. Donations can be made below.
